Bible Mysteries Revealed: 3 Year Anniversary
Hard to believe it’s been 3 years this month since Bible Mysteries Revealed became a 501 c3 Nonprofit. The first Paper published in June of 2022 was read by over eighty people thanks to the Mount Vernon Apologetics Class members. Today, there are weeks when over three hundred people may visit the site depending on the topic. And because a Paper is published every week, the Library now contains 168 Papers organized in 12 files that range from unusual Old and New Testament events, to future prophesies and miscellaneous topics. The site will soon add two new files to the Library titled “World Religions at a Glance” and “Commentaries”.
We are currently working on two new projects that people have requested. First, we are starting to include an introductory Summary with each Paper. This is for those folks that just want the bottom line facts. The Summary is followed by The Deep Dive which is the complete story with many little known facts revealed and footnotes for reference purposes. The second project is to begin posting 20 minute videos on YouTube. The videos have already been recorded, but editing, adding background greenscreen images and the inclusion of an introduction video piece have proved daunting on a staff of three (Myself, a Proof Reader and the Site Director). We were hoping that AI would come to the rescue, but it is not up to snuff yet for our needs. Still, the wheels are in motion and videos will start being released later this year.
As for the popularity of the Papers, I never know which ones will attract the most views. I thought the “Christianity vs the Catholic Religion Revealed” Paper would be a sleeper. But it generated 332 views in one week! Go figure? As for future Papers, some have asked if there is an end to interesting Biblical subjects? So far, this has not been a problem. New Bible related archeological discoveries along with more accurate translations of ancient texts and the fulfillment of prophecies are continually catching my attention and imagination. And it is always gratifying to discover that with each passing year, more and more people seeking Biblical insights and truths are finding the web site. They read the publications and by receiving new exciting revelations, their faith is strengthened. They understand better why they believe what they believe.
Finally, I want to personally thank you for taking the time, in these fast paced days, to sit and read the Papers. I also want to thank you for your kind cards and letters. They let me know I am not working all alone in my office. And I especially want to thank those of you who faithfully make contributions that help offset expenses associated with keeping the site on line. Hopefully, through the use of YouTube, we will double if not triple out readership. A growing readership is our ultimate goal. Paul stated it best when he wrote, first a person must hear the Good News in order to believe (Romans 10:14).
All the Best!

On a separate note, I am often asked how a Paper comes about. Usually, I am just sitting thinking about nothing in particular when suddenly, and for no apparent reason, a Paper subject begins to crystalize in my mind. While I am familiar with the subject, having studied the Bible for over forty five years, I have never had the urge to write on it. Still, once the subject starts forming, I know to immediately excuse myself, go into my office, open up my lap top and the Paper begins to write itself. If I do not go and immediately start typing, the subject will run its course in my mind, and I will not be able to pull it up again at a later date. Strange but true. It is apparently a now or never proposition. I once wrote a Paper and somehow lost it on my computer. I was never able to rewrite it. And trust me, I really tried. Apparently, a Paper starts and I am just along for the ride typing as fast as I can to keep up with the information down load. I think to myself, ”Where is this coming from" and "How is this possible?” The entire draft, of anywhere from twelve to twenty five pages, cascades out of my brain and onto the paper from beginning to end. I finish the draft in usually less than an hour. I read it and am befuddled as to how I actually wrote it. I sometimes review older Papers and do not have a clear recollection of writing them. Once a Paper is finished, I sit with a swollen index finger on my right hand staring at pages that look like a Christmas tree due to all the frenetically misspelled words now in glowing red type. I feel sorry for my brain, index finger and spell check. Then, days later, the next Paper revels itself to me and the beat goes on and on. While I feel honored to be used in this way, it does require me to always travel with a pen and pad in case the Spirit strikes.
Thus, a special shout out to my wife who has graciously become acclimated to all of this and is a constant source of support and encouragement. Thank you Preciousness! LB
